Little Dixie Head Start currently has an AmeriCorps program that provides one service member to each of the 32 Head Start and Early Head Start Centers.  The members serve a total of 900 hours throughout the school year providing one on one and small group tutoring to the children.  The member earns a living allowance during their term of service, and at completion they will receive an educational voucher of $2,362.50 to use for higher educational purposes.
